Christmas

Christmas was great again this year, but I think I am never eating again. We had a delicious breakfast. I made cinnamon rolls from scratch that were amazing, and my sister made this egg bake with sausage and chillies that everyone had seconds of. We continued to snack and drink throughout the day and had our big turkey dinner and a few pies to finish! I am still full.

Charlie meets Santa

We went down to Fashion Island for Charlie to meet Santa the day before Christmas Eve. After waiting in line for an hour in a half, all I could think was Charlie better smile! I anxiously placed him on Santa's lap, and he instantly started crying. After Justin, my sister, mom and I all started calling his name and trying to make him laugh he looked seriously into the camera for his photo with Santa. I can't say it was Charlie's favorite thing to do, and Justin has no interest in waiting in line to do that again but I was very happy that we have a photo of Charlie and Santa on his first Christmas.

Waiting in line. Apparently our family likes stripes.
Poor Charlie forced to sit with Santa. It is a good Santa though isn't it?!

Christmas Lights

First off I would like to say when Justin gets to California on Monday we plan to buy a fancy schmancy camera that takes professional looking photos so you don't have to suffer through any more blurry iPhone photos!

My mom and I hung up Christmas lights the other night. It was absolutely freezing and our fingers felt like they were going to fall off from numbness, but we did it! I love Christmas lights.I also love this little man who is so good at smiling at the camera it is ridiculous. And a little pic of Charlie basking in the sun and enjoying the crazy wind here in Cali. Charlie treats grass kind of like sand, he is not so sure about it and wont really move around.Lastly, I can't resist Charlie's rosy cheeks here and dressing him in layers. I actually love just clothing my child in anything since he mostly lives in a diaper in Singapore :).

More tree pics...

More pictures from my camera from the day we picked out our Christmas tree.

Mom's birthday

My mom's birthday was on the 8th. We spent the day with her brother and sister, catching up and eating lunch. I love spending time with my aunt and uncle since I rarely see them these days.
That night we went to our favorite family restaurant Tommy's and had delicious sushi. Charlie had dinner as well (not sushi obvi). It was a really nice day with lots of family time.

Last night in Singapore

I just uploaded my camera since being back in California. Here are a few pics from our last night in Singapore with Justin. We went to a restaurant called Margarita's, we sipped on skinny girl margaritas and all had spicy shrimp tacos. I am missing Justin, only a few more days till he is here.

Christmas Tree

This weekend Charlie and I went with my parents to go pick out our Christmas tree! We always buy our tree from this family who has a Christmas tree farm out in Santiago Canyon. You get to walk around rows and rows of trees to pick yours out, and then they chop it down right in front of you to bring home. I always love going there, and it was great to bring Charlie along on the tradition.

Charlie's Christmas Party

The Saturday before we flew back to California Charlie had a Christmas party with all his friends. The babies all wore headbands with themed hats or reindeer antlers. They are such a cute group! The parents sipped on mulled wine while the babies played together. Santa made an appearance towards the end of the party as well! Santa gave Charlie a secret Santa pressie, it was the first gift he has opened and he liked the wrapping paper more than the toy. Typical. Lovely jubbly day!

Phuket

Charlie's first trip to Thailand was great. He was in the water all day and loved it. He had his first trip to the beach, he wasn't so sure about the sand but did so well in the ocean with daddy. Both the flights were not great, they happened to be during nap time and Charlie isn't great at sleeping when there are other things going on around him. A sleep deprived Charlie is not the best, let's just say one lady actually had the nerve to ask me to move. That's a whole other story, but needless to say I am nervous about our 20 hour flight to the US next week since an hour and a half flight to Phuket was terrible. But back to our vacation, the villa Justin booked was insanely gorgeous. It was two stories and had a private pool, it was very very nice. Breakfast everyday started with champagne, so no complaining there! And we all relaxed and read and swam all day, it was glorious. I missed Thai food, it is so delicious! My mom loved trying everything. Here are a few of my favorite pics, the rest can be viewed on my facebook here.
