First haircut

Charlie got his first haircut today!  His hair has been a little, and by a little I mean a lot, out of control recently.  I love his curls, but it was getting so long and really needed to be tamed.  I needed a haircut also so I just brought him to the salon with me and asked my hair dresser to cut his hair.  It was a gamble because I didn't know how he would act, and it is not a "kiddy" salon so I was hoping there wouldn't be any tantrums.  But, he surprised both me and Justin when he just happily sat there while she chopped away.  She did give him an Oreo cookie before she started which probably didn't hurt her chances, but he just sat there like the amazing little boy he is until she was done.  Not a peep out of him.  He is too much, and the new do is very cute!

Before the cut

See what I mean about needing to be tamed!  That hair is outta control.
I mean, how cute is he?!

 The finished product!

MBS

One of our new things we enjoy doing on the weekend is walking around the Marina Bay Sands shopping mall.  Charlie loves all the people watching out front by the water, there is a fountain that we always throw loads of coins into and its a pretty relaxed place to have lunch.  I think we have always avoided going there in fear of the crowds, but it really is a nice place to walk around. Charlie put his walking skills to good use there last weekend!

Here are a few more pics from my iPhone of me and Charlie with Lucky the elephant in Phuket.

Airport and airplane fun

Before we flew to Phuket our flight was delayed so we were letting Charlie run around to get out some energy. There was another little girl who kept coming over to Charlie. She really took a liking to him. In no time at all she was cuddling him. Charlie was so funny, he just stood there unsure what to do while she squeezed him. Eventually they were sharing toys, Charlie offered his water bottle and they were the very best friends for those few delayed moments before the flight. Here is another cute pic right after we got to the hotel. Charlie did very well on the flight there.
On the flight back to Singapore he needed a little more entertaining. We recently discovered Charlie LOVES watching videos of himself on our phones. It will entertain him for hours, no joke. He will watch the same 30 second video over and over and over and over! Here he is on the flight home smiling away at a video of himself. Just precious.I'll be sure to take a lot more videos in the next few weeks to have loads of ammo for our US flight later next month.

Phuket

We spent the weekend at the Angsana Resort in Phuket with our good friends the Batten's who flew out from Dubai. Their two girls were so sweet with Charlie all weekend. We had a full day on a friend's yacht, which was so fancy schmancy. It came with a full staff and two waitresses that were so attentive. Needless to say, I'd like one ;). Charlie also got to see a few elephants, he even rode one with Justin on a boys afternoon outing. We had a babysitter for the kids a few nights so we really enjoyed ourselves once the kids were sleeping. And our days were filled with laying by the pool, sipping Singha beer and gin and tonics, playing on the beach and eating loads and loads of SPICY Thai dishes. A few of my favorite pics below but you can view more here.

Better late then never!

Charlie took his first steps yesterday. Real steps, as in more then one. And his second try he walked the whole hallway! Very impressive. Here is a cute video from today. He knows he is doing something good because I have been cheering him on every time and giving him so many kisses after. He smiles at every step. He may be walking a little late, but it is the cutest thing I have ever seen. My little baby is turning into a little boy all too fast! Happy Easter!

All smiles

Charlie was all smiles the other morning. He loves watching people in the pool from our bedroom window, and his new favorite game is to hide behind our drapes. Cute video of him below, like always ignore my voice!

River walk

We enjoyed a long walk around the river this morning. We stopped half way for a little snack break. It was such a nice day, but SO hot this morning.
