and I'm back!!

Well hello!! I have been rather busy since being back in California so here is a brief update.
The weekend after my sister's bridal shower, we went to Santa Barbara for her bachelorette party. There was 16 of us, and we had such a blast. To sum it up we had long drives, traffic, fun dinners, stiff drinks, went wine tasting and did a little dancing! All the girls got along so well and I loved hanging out with some of Sam's friends that I didn't know that well. Here is us at the Fess Parker winery enjoying some girl time and me and Sam at a club celebrating. She was a good sport to wear her veil and bridal accessories all weekend. A few days after I got home from Santa Barbara I flew to Seattle to visit some of my best friends that live there. I always treasure the time I spend with my friends. Both their boyfriends are chefs and I was spoiled with many great meals. Below Lacey and I chow down on banana pancakes with caramelized pears. Here is Lacey, Erin and me getting our groove on!
We met Maddy for dinner one night too!Seattle was beautiful and the weather was perfect the majority of the time!

For an update on Justin, he was stuck in Austria when the volcano erupted in Iceland. He was one of the many travelers stranded in Europe. Thankfully he caught a train to Munich Friday and then arrived by train to Paris this afternoon. He is hoping to get a ticket on a ferry to the UK tomorrow. Surprisingly he has been enjoying the experience so far, one of the many reasons I love him because we all know I would not be too happy if I was stranded there waiting in lines all day. Fingers crossed he makes it to the London soon and the ash cloud clears up before his flight to California on Monday. When there is will there is a way, and when it comes to Dus there is always a way!
That's all for now! Sam's wedding countdown, 8 days! Wuhey. xo

Samantha's Shower

So I am slightly jet lagged. It is 4:30am and I am still wide awake. Thought I'd be productive and download Sam's bridal shower pics. It was such a lovely day yesterday, the decorations turned out great and the crowd was really fun. It was a cooking theme and we had a chef come and teach us a few recipes. One of the bridesmaids Kate made aprons as favors for all the guests that were a huge hit as well. All of the bridesmaids love Sam so much and it was nice to get to know some of them better, I am looking forward to her bachelorette party next weekend with all of them!Such beautiful flowers and linens! And I'm off....

This will be me in about 12 hours!!
I leave for California tomorrow morning for a super busy and fun few weeks!! There is SO much planned while I am home. Sam's bridal shower, Easter, playing with friend's in town, Sam's bach party in Santa Barbara, visiting friends in Seattle and Sam's wedding. I am always sad to leave my hubby but he will thankfully be away on business in Europe after this weekend so I won't feel like I am neglecting him too much. After working all morning I headed to get my sleeping pill prescription refilled to prepare for the coma like state I will put myself in for my 19 hour journey tomorrow, now all I have left to do is finish packing for the both of us! For our last night together I am making bloke's pasta, Justin's favorite, for dinner and finishing our season of LOST! Happy Easter! xoxo
