Pool Party

My two best friends here in California organized a "Welcome to America" party for Charlie. They rang our doorbell decorated in red, white and blue. They are hysterical. My whole family was there, as well as our cousins and aunt Sally. We took Charlie in the pool for the second time. He was so relaxed and loved floating with all of us.

Charlie is the HAPPIEST baby. Love every piece of him.

Uncle Brother

Just fyi, I refer to my sister and brother as auntie sissy and uncle brother.

Here is uncle brother loving Charlie. He seems SO small in Scott's arms.

Great Grandma

My Grandma's fiance asked her 2 weeks ago, if there was one thing in that moment that she could have that would make her happy what would it be? Her answer was, Charlie in her arms.

She has been SO excited to meet Charlie, and I think it is safe to say it was love at first sight for both of them.

Father's Day

Justin's first Father's Day was wonderful. My family came over to my sister's house on Sunday and we did a BBQ, it was such a nice way to celebrate the "dad's". We had a real man's meal of bratwurst soaked in beer then barbecued, grilled onions and peppers, baked beans, potato salad and coleslaw. It was finished with a delicious peach and blueberry cobbler made by yours truly.
Justin is the best father to Charlie, he is so helpful and loving with him. I can't wait for the years to come and see their bond grow even more.

Corona Del Mar Weekend

We stayed at my sister's for the weekend and took long walks by the beach, the girls got mani's and pedi's, the boys went beer shopping, we cooked, BBQ and ate....lots! The weather was so cooperative with us. It was so relaxing to just hang out, especially after all the chaos we have had in Singapore recently with the move and traveling.

Hands in the mouth

Charlie LOVES to suck on his hands now.
Forget about the pacifier, chew toys, or a bottle for that matter, just give me my hands mom!

We made it!

We got to California yesterday. Charlie was an absolute legend on the flight. People around us were also so impressed with how well behaved he was. He never cried once, and smiled and was as happy as can be the whole time. We had an extra seat for him (or all his stuff) on both flights which made it nice. Justin said he was a better traveller than me, since I get grumpy when I am tired! Haha. We were all pretty tired yesterday but Charlie still managed to impress us with only waking up once last night. Hopefully he will be back to his 12 hours of sleeping at night within the next few days here.

Moving on

We LOVED our last apartment. It really was great, but the time has come to move on. We have a new apartment we just moved in to this weekend. Moving is stressful as it is, but try doing it with a 4 month old who needs to be fed, changed and take naps on a regular basis throughout the day. Slowly but surely things are coming along. I really wanted to make this place more our "own", and we have done a lot of improvements that we have not done in the past to previous apartments in Singapore. We are renting so we can not go overboard on changes, but I am so happy with the apartment so far. I would say it is about 85% done and will hopefully (fingers crossed) be completely finished before we leave on Wednesday for California for a MONTH! Woohooo. We are sooo looking forward to some great family time, beach time, pool time, relaxing time....and husband/wife alone time in Napa. Can.not.wait. Here is a little preview of the new apartment, I am in love with our living room. And in other breaking news, the swoop bangs are back. Get excited. No blog post is complete without a little Charlie boy action. He gets cuter by the day.

Mom Friends!

A few of my favorite mom friends, and their little boys, that I have made since having Charlie.
