iPhone pictures galore

Sorry for my absence.  I have not had the urge to blog recently.  We are back in Singapore now.  My mom flew home with me and Charlie, Charlie thankfully was very good on the flight back!  I couldn't handle another bad flight, he must have known.  Justin got back the day after us and we have been enjoying getting back into our routines.  I have worked out every day this week, which has been so nice after doing nothing for 3 weeks in California.  I just synced my phone and have loads of pictures that I decided to dump on my page from the past few months! Hopefully this makes up for the lack of updates.  :)

This hair was too funny to not capture!

Charlie wanted to try on hats at Zara. I obliged of course.

New York New York!

Justin and I have been talking about going back to New York for years!  It has been 5 years since we left NY for Singapore.  I have been back once on a girls trip, but we could not wait to go back together.  New York is special to us for so many reasons.  After Justin and I rekindled our love in Italy a year after I studied abroad, our first trip together was to New York because it was middle ground between California to Italy.  It was actually Justin's very first trip to the US.  Can you believe that?  He actually said he never thought it was worth visiting, until he met me of course.  Our trip there was for 5 days and was an absolutely uber super romantic trip.  He even asked me to be his girlfriend there.  We lived it up to the max, and to say the least Justin was blown away by the city.  A year later he moved there, and a year after that I moved there and that was the first city we lived in together after 2 years of long distance dating.  We only lived there for one year together before moving to Singapore, but have so many fond memories.

We never have itineraries on vacations.  We just like to relax and play things by ear, but we had a serious plan on the trip.  We had things planned every day, and even though we missed some things we really did everything we wanted to do.  And there was SO much we wanted to do during our 4 nights there.  Most of those "things" were visiting our favorite restaurants, it was a very indulgent few days.  We also caught up with old and new friends, shopped our brains out and ate and drank our way through the city day and night.  There was also a few star sightings, the most memorable being meeting Diane von Furstenberg herself in her own store!  Truly a moment I will never forget, and I am still kicking myself for not asking for a picture with her.  Those that know me well know that I love her and her clothes (handbags and shoes etc etc) so much and was just star struck when seeing her. It was a very successful, eventful and enjoyable few days.

Palm Beach

A few days after arriving in California Justin and I flew to Florida for our friends Michael and Katherine's wedding.  My sister and her husband also went so it was a really fun weekend being with everyone.  Palm Beach is a beautiful place and the hotel we stayed at was super fabulous.  We had these great decks attached to our rooms so we could enjoy breakfast outside, and leave the door open for fresh air.  Sam and I had lots of sister time while the boys, who were both groomsmen, tended to their duties with the groom.  We did a lot of relaxing, ordered room service and got our nails done.  It was a nice weekend.  The wedding itself was so beautiful, and you could really feel the love in the room.  They both have great sets of friends which made the wedding, especially the dance floor, fun!

At the bachelor party the groom ordered custom made tailored jackets for the groomsmen in bright green.  All the boys wore these jackets to the rehearsal dinner and it was funny to see how they all decided to style their outfits.  There were actually cars stopping in the street to check out all 11 of the groomsmen as we walked a few blocks to the restaurant for the rehearsal.  It was quite a sight!

Brunch

The day before we left for California my Hot Mum's group had our one year anniversary brunch.  We wanted to celebrate the time when we all first met at our post natal classes when our babies were just months old. I am so thankful for all these women, and was clearly a little over excited for this free flow champagne brunch.  I may have had more to drink then eat and probably embarrassed myself.  I don't know why I say probably because the evidence is below (see last picture).  It was a super fun day with a little too much booze, which I highly recommend not doing before a LONG flight with a 15 month old!

Poolside

We spent yesterday afternoon poolside at our friends country club. The afternoon was lovely but it was SO hot.  Like too hot to enjoy it.  It hadn't rained in a few days and we were all roasting.  They had a good little kiddy pool they got to swim in and the little boys had dinner while the adults enjoyed a few beers.  Charlie is definitely a water baby, he is so happy in the pool.

Port of Lost World

We went to a new water park in Sentosa last week called Port of Lost World.  It was a public holiday so we met a few friends there and played and had dinner together.  It was super crowded and Charlie is still a little small for it, but we really want to go back on a day when it is more quiet so Charlie doesn't feel too overwhelmed with all the kids.  The park is pretty well organized.  With older kids I could imagine spending a long afternoon there.  There is a nice grass area where you can hang out, but we were lucky enough to grab a picnic table.  All the dads took the kids in the water while the moms snapped pics.  I love catching photos of Charlie and Justin walking and holding hands. So precious.

Wedding video

I happened to look at our wedding video tonight while going through files on my laptop.  It still gives me chills watching it.  I would watch this video at least 1o times a day the first month we were married.  Every time I see it, it brings back the exact feelings I felt that day.  Just so much happiness!  We were surrounded by so much love that week.  It makes me miss our friends and family and Italy, I wish we could re-do it every year.
